01 · The founding vision
The Good Samaritan Hospital is among the most significant works associated with Reverend Jean Luc Phanord’s ministry and legacy.
The hospital was founded by Iglesia Bautista Maranatha on November 9, 1997, through the vision of Reverend Jean Luc Phanord and Rodney Dexter Hendrickson. Their goal was to create a Christian institution where healthcare would be delivered with dignity, respect, compassion, quality, and service to those most in need.
Located in Villa Verde, La Romana, the hospital became a living expression of Reverend Phanord’s conviction that the Gospel must be demonstrated through practical care for people’s spiritual, physical, and emotional needs.
“A vision of faith became a place of healing for an entire community.”
