Reverend Jean Luc Phanord dedicated his life to sharing the Gospel, strengthening families, and serving people with compassion. His ministry was shaped by a sincere belief that faith must be expressed not only through words, but also through meaningful action.
Alongside Pastor Elza Pierre-Louis, he modeled a life of humility, generosity, and commitment to community. The foundation that bears his name continues that legacy by bringing dignity, practical support, and lasting hope to those who need it most.

Reverend Jean Luc Phanord is remembered as a founding visionary of Hospital General El Buen Samaritano—a Christian institution created to bring dignified, compassionate healthcare to La Romana.
Founded on November 9, 1997, by Iglesia Bautista Maranatha through the vision of Reverend Phanord and Rodney Dexter Hendrickson, the hospital remains one of the most enduring expressions of his belief that faith must serve the whole person.
